After seven years in pastoral counseling, I went back to school to become a therapist. I'm no longer a Christian counselor — but I believe the questions underneath faith are still the important ones. Who am I supposed to be? What do I owe people? Is the life I'm building actually mine? Most of my clients arrive talking about anxiety, a stalled career, or a relationship that isn't working, and find those questions sitting underneath.
Eleven years experience in residential treatment and college counseling centers taught me how much of adult distress traces back to something older, and how much of it is workable once it's named.
I am a 2nd generation Korean American from Baltimore, MD living in Miami, FL providing in person and telehealth therapy services in MA and FL. Additionally, I have training in trauma informed CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

I work with adults on depression, anxiety, self-worth, relationship difficulties, and distress rooted in family of origin or early adversity. A large part of my practice involves people navigating a change in belief — leaving a faith, questioning or leaving a relationship or career— and second-generation and immigrant-family clients working out where their family's expectations end and their own begin.
Our first sessions focus on assessing the scope of what you're dealing with and where it likely comes from. From there we build specific interventions and habits that turn insight into changed behavior, rather than leaving it as something you understand but still do.
